Aysu Practice Manager

Aysu joined the team as our practice manager early in 2026, bringing a strong passion for both small and large animal medicine. She graduated with Honours from the University of Lethbridge in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree, where she particularly enjoyed the courses in animal behavior, evolutionary biology, agroforestry and conservation. During her studies, she had also completed several independent studies and gained research experience in neuroscience laboratories focused on cellular neurobiology, animal behavior and disease. She is a proud nerd and is always happy to chat about animal brains and behavior. She is currently completing her Veterinary Technology program at Lakeland College, with graduation expected in June 2026.

Aysu brings a diverse background in animal care, with experience working with companion animals, exotic species, and wildlife. While her passion for small animals and exotics began early on, she discovered a love for large animal medicine during her studies, inspiring her to pursue a career in mixed animal practice where she can continue supporting care for a wide variety of species. She has a deep appreciation for large animal and livestock care and the important role mixed animal practices play in supporting our rural communities.

Outside of the clinic, Aysu’s love for animals continues at home with her own “mini zoo,” which includes three dogs and a collection of reptiles. She has a special fondness for Golden Retrievers and Golden patients can expect to be greeted with plenty of enthusiasm—and possibly a baby voice.
